Arlington Home Area Public Art on Display
Arlington Home Area Public Art on Display
Arlington homes include a number of venues for those who live in the Stillaguamish Valley, but one that stands out is their appreciation for art. The City of Arlington sets aside a portion of the money for construction projects for the city in a fund for the acquirement of new art for public areas. Believing that art creates an interesting aspect to the community - residents of Arlington homes and visitors alike - the efforts are supported by members of the Arlington Arts Council.Throughout the city are many works of art for the viewing pleasure of those living in Arlington homes. They will recognize many of the works along the routes they travel everyday and new ones are constantly being added. Here are a few of the ones you will see if you are perusing the Arlington homes area:
- “The Run of Number One”
- Glastar Mural
- “Stilly Valley Victorian”
- Plane Mural
- “Overhead/Underfoot”
- “Salmon Spawning Pool”
-
“Three Beauties”

- “Council of Salmon”
- Mural at Kid’s Kloset
- “Dedicated to the Beauty of Earth”
- Centennial Fountain
- Community Garden mural
- “Seven-foot Wingspan”
- “Tribute to Arlington Firefighters”
- “Grandfather” sculpture
- “Center of the Universe”
- “The Raven and the Sun”
- “Norwegian Story Pole”

In addition, residents of Arlington homes will notice artistic banners on display all around town. The acquisition of the art is made possible by the Arlington Arts Council, a non-profit organization that also holds art auctions to raise money for the projects. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month and residents of Arlington homes that wish to attend may do so.
